Terms of the subscription
Who’s behind the Pontos
The Pontos subscription comes from Bandeira de Oxalá (“the house”). Your payments go directly to the house, through Stripe, and support its teaching and the recording of these pontos. The site is built and hosted for the house by Functional Development.
What you get
Anyone can read every tab and every ponto’s words, and listen to the Oxumaré tab in full, without paying. A subscription adds every other class recording and the full class lessons, for as long as it’s active.
The free trial
A new account can have one 14-day free trial. You give a card when it starts. If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, the plan you chose begins and your card is charged. We’ll email you before that happens. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.
Price and renewal
$9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, in US dollars, plus any sales tax that applies where you live. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. Yearly subscribers get an email before each renewal. If the price changes, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from your account page, in one step. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you aren’t charged again.
Refunds
If you’re charged and didn’t mean to be — a trial you forgot to cancel, or a renewal — ask within 7 days of the charge and you’ll get a full refund. Write to [email protected].
Using the recordings
The recordings, lessons, words and translations are for your own learning and practice. Please don’t copy, publish or share them outside the site, other than with the share links the site gives you. The pontos belong to the tradition; these recordings belong to the house and its teachers.
Changes and ending
We may change the site or these terms; if a change affects what you pay or what you get, we’ll email you first. If the subscription service ever closes, any time you’ve paid for and not used will be refunded.

Privacy
What we keep
- Your email address — to sign you in and to send sign-in links and notices about your subscription.
- Your favourites and colour theme — so they follow you between devices.
- Your subscription’s status — the plan, and when it renews or ends, as Stripe reports it.
- Server logs — the network address of requests, kept briefly to stop password guessing and abuse.
What we don’t keep
Your card details go to Stripe and never reach this site. There are no ads, no tracking scripts and no selling of data. The site stores a sign-in cookie on your device and remembers display choices in your browser.
Who else handles it
- Stripe — payments and receipts (Stripe’s privacy policy).
- Postmark — sends the sign-in emails.
- Cloudflare — carries traffic to the site.
Your choices
Ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or for your account to be deleted, by writing to [email protected]. Deleting the account ends any subscription first.
